JV PPC Opens Alley of Remembrance for Ukraine’s Defenders in Poltava Region

The joint venture Poltava Petroleum Company (JV PPC), together with local authorities and community representatives, has opened the Alley of Remembrance of Ukraine’s Defenders in the village of Mayachka, Poltava region. The project was implemented within the framework of the Community Initiatives Contest of the Nekhvoroshcha Territorial Community. The opening ceremony took place on October 1, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

The Alley of Remembrance has become a symbolic space of honor and gratitude to those who have defended and continue to defend Ukraine. It reminds every visitor of the heroism and resilience of the defenders.

“We bow our heads before our defenders, who risk their lives every day for the sake of Ukraine and our common security. I am convinced that it is very important for future generations to remember why this Alley was created, and to reflect on the price Ukraine pays for peace and independence. It is a great honor for us to support the community in creating such an important place,” said Vitaly Dorogan, CEO of JV PPC.

The Community Initiatives Contest “Together We Build the Future” was launched in the Nekhvoroshcha community of Poltava region to foster local ideas that improve community life. With its support, socially significant projects are being implemented – from developing public spaces to restoring infrastructure.

JV PPC is a key partner of the initiative. The company not only funds the implementation of the best ideas but also actively participates in the selection process, assessing the practical value and social impact of each project.

In 2025, the contest received 13 applications covering improvements in social infrastructure, education, culture, and leisure. After careful review, 7 winners were selected.
