The ÒÎP-100 Rating of the Best Companies of Ukraine project has already existed for 10 years and is considered to be a reliable source of information in political and business circles of Ukraine.
JV Poltava Petroleum Company ranks the 24th in the 2006 Rating of the 100 top companies in net profit, having moved 19 positions up in comparison with the ÒÎP-100 2006.
In the "Oil & Gas" industrial rating, JV PPC, the only private company in the rating, takes the 12th line, having surged up by 4 positions.
One of the criteria the investors refer to when taking sound investment decisions are the corporate governance standards. Realities demand more detailed review of the corporate governance practiced by the Ukrainian companies.
For the first time the Summary Rating of the Ukrainian corporate governance standards has been published. The oil-and-gas industry has always been a priority business for many countries of the world, so it is small wonder that the 9th Moscow International Oil and Gas Exhibition (MIOGE) held in Russia on 26-29 June 2007 was one of the central events of economic life both in Russia and in many countries of the world community. The main mission of the exhibition was to give an opportunity for the industry professionals to get familiarized with the latest achievements of the world companies and to establish mutually advantageous cooperation.
JV Poltava Petroleum Company was presented as the most successful project of the British JKX Oil and Gas plc (JKX).

Shortly before the International Day of Protection of Children the Poltava kids received a special gift - the car drive training facilities - the first and so far unique for Ukraine. It is a replica of a city quarter with tiny streets furnished with crossroads, traffic line marking and traffic signs, where children can master their skills in safe behaviour on the roads in a form of an educational game. JV PPC, which corporate policy cares of effective and safe functioning of motor transport, could not stay away from the event and bought two Mercedes electromobiles and a motorcycle for the children's car fleet.

As a charitable act the Company provided the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Municipal Child Health Clinic with a unique multifunctional monitor.
To date, it is the only sophisticated technology device of such level in Ukraine, which can facilitate doctors in monitoring all organs of ill newly-born child.
Within the ongoing charitable project on introduction of advanced methods of teaching JV PPC equipped the Sokolova Balka School with a computer class including 12 PCs and connected them to the Internet.
JV PPC took part in the Third Interregional Exhibition and Presentation "Oil. Gas. Service - 2007".
The organizers believe that the exhibition presented the key companies operating within the Ukraine's oil-and-gas market.
JV Poltava Petroleum Company was awarded with the following Diplomas:

JKX OIL & GAS plc (“JKX”) ANNOUNCES UKRAINIAN DRILLING UPDATE
JKX Oil & Gas plc (“JKX”) announces that it has completed and tested Well M157 as part of its ongoing drilling programme at Poltava, Ukraine.
During testing, Well M157 flowed at a stabilised rate of 7.3 million cubic feet
of gas and 620 barrels of condensate per day with a wellhead flowing pressure of 2,300 psi through a 27/64 inch choke. The well has been tied back to the Company’s production facility via an 8 km flowline.
Well M157 is a vertical well located in the northern area of Molchanovskoye
Field and targeted the T2 carbonate reservoir which overlies the main oil bearing Devonian reservoir. The well was completed in 140 m of
Tournasian carbonate as an open hole producer, and acidised using coil tubing prior to testing.
The N75 rig has now spudded Well R102 in the southern part of Rudenkovskoye Field.

Over the period the company headed by the true professionals Natalia Naumova-Shevchenko and Andriy Naumov has created a significant catering complex at the Production Site. Its high servicing standards and working conditions have been acknowledged. OOO BCC ranks the first among the catering enterprises in the National Business Rating prepared in accordance with the Programme of Leaders Evaluation on the basis of the State Statistics Committee. On the solemn ceremony which took place in Kyiv on November 3 the company was awarded the medal "Branch Leader"and Honorary Diploma.

The Company celebrated a traditional corporate holiday - the First Oil Day. This time the "Cossacks" gathered on the camping-ground and prospected for oil in the different countries and continents, thus having visited England, Greece, Lapland, Japan and Venice. All the most interesting novelties were shown to Cossack Aeneas and his blood-brothers, then the guests drank honey, ate bread & salt in the Pot-Bellied Hut. The festivity hosted the Cossacks from friendly countries - England and Georgia.

On 1-2 March 2006, JV PPC took part in the 2nd Interregional Exhibition "Oil.Gas.Service - 2006" held in Poltava. As always, the Company stand was popular and, as always, our experts tried to give exhaustive answers to the most inquisitive visitors. The most impressive was a great number of students, who took an interest in absolutely everything - from modern technologies to the standards of labour. So, we are expecting the young generation...
On 15 March 2006, the ceremony of tribute to the winners of "The Best Enterprise of the Quarter" competition organized by the Ministry of Finance was held in the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine. The President personally presented the awards - the Silver Hryvnias styled a-la Old Kyivan to ten best tax payers, Timothy Kaunov, General Director of JV Poltava Petroleum Company, was one of the honorees.

The Company has produced the jubilee 3 billion of m3 of gas since the beginning of its activities.
Holding of the corporate festivities is the long since excellent tradition.
This year as well the Company’s employees, as the fates decreed, found themselves on the "Treasure Island". When festively passing the time on the various islands of "the forgotten ancestry", "eaten Captain Cook", "dead-end situations" and "fruity sirens" the pieces of the ancient map, which belonged to Captain Flint, were found. This map showed where the treasure was buried... Certainly, the treasure were found and divided among all pirates of “Poltava Petroleum Company"...

The JV PPC has entered the "TOP-100. The Best Companies of Ukraine" Rating. This Rating has been composed by "InvestGazeta" in 2005 year as per the financial indices of 2004 year.
The JV PPC together with JKX OIL & GAS have participated in the 8th International Exhibition "Oil and Gas 2005", which was held at one of the best exhibition sites in Moscow, and in the work of the 3rd Russian Oil and Gas Congress. Over 600 companies-participants were gathered up under the roof of the "Expocenter". The specialists, who worked on the stand of the Company, demonstrated our achievements in the field of production, efficient use of the mineral resources, ecological safety and exchanged the acquired experience with their colleagues from other countries of the world. Participation in this event allowed better outlining of mutual relationships of partnership and gave an impulse for the development of new business contacts.

Many pleasant events took place in December. In this very month the Rudenkovka Village Rada, on the lands of which some facilities of the company are located, was presented with the modern ambulance and that will allow the local inhabitants from nearby villages to obtain timely and efficient medical aid. By the way, the previous ambulance, which they call the local rarity here, has just turned 25 years old the day before.
As always, the New Year holidays are impatiently awaited by the local children for. And the company did not disappoint their expectations. Three and a half thousand children from Novy-Sanjary, Karlovka, Mashevka and Kobelyaky districts of Poltava Region found their sweet presents under the New Year trees.
Traditionally, the year was finished with the corporate Christmas Party, at which the jocose "Silver Bowels of the Earth" prizes were presented on many merry nominations. The fairytale show ended with the impressive fireworks and it the course of it everyone made new year wishes. |

Today the first-formers of the Sokolova Balka School, which is under the JV PPC patronage, turned over a new leaf of the interesting and impetuous school life.
Certainly, there were moving greetings from teachers, parents, guests and heros of the occasion.
And we also have wished the young Ukrainians sound health, good training results and joyful smiles.

Within the framework of the workshop "Organisation of the gas quality control at the gas producing and gas transporting enterprises", which was carried out under the auspices of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, the participants of the seminar familiarized with operational experience of the JV "Poltava Petroleum Company" and its production site.
Richard Bily, Technical Director, and Volodymyr Taran, Head of the Production Department, introduced a high-technology equipment of the automated control system at the Early Production Facilities and a unique dew point control unit, which essentially improves the gas quality and increases the output of liquid hydrocarbons.
E.g., since July 2002 (that is from the commence of operation) the daily average gas production rose by 12%, that of oil - by 8%.
Economical estimation proves that despite of unit's rather high price (about USD 1 million), its full payback period is less than one year.
Our colleagues from other gas producing enterprises drew their attention to the JV PPC weighty achievements in application of modern know-how and technologies at our production site, which is unique for Ukraine.

| 25-28 of May at the 7th International Exhibition-Fair "Ecology-2004" in Kyiv the JV PPC presented its most recent ecological achievements, the key of which were cluster drilling, reclamation of arable lands and abandonment of wells. |

On 31st of January 2004 the JV PPC celebrated its 10th Anniversary.
The celebration was attended by Robert Brinkley, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain, Anatoly Kukoba and Gennady Rudenko, People’s Deputies of Ukraine, Aleksander Udovichenko, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, as well as colleagues from neighbour and far abroad countries.
On 4th of January the JV PPC produced its first million tons of oil.
In 2003 the Company increased the volume of oil production by 75% and natural gas - by 50% in comparison with 2002 year. |

Through Minutes # 20-06-03 of the Extraordinary Meeting of Participants of the JV Poltava Petroleum Company dated 20/06/2003 the State Property Fund of Ukraine was acknowledged withdrawn from the membership of the JV PPC’s Participants.
In accordance with the Minutes and with the purpose of maintenance of the two Participants of the JV Poltava Petroleum Company (in the form of the limited liability company) and on the grounds of the application to the Company JP Kenny Exploration & Production Ltd. the Limited Liability Company "Joint Venture Kharkiv Investment Company" was admitted to the membership of the Participants of the JV Poltava Petroleum Company. |

On 23rd of May the Acceptance Certificate on the state shareholding in the amount of 33.8% of the Charter Fund of the JV Poltava Petroleum Company (in the form of the limited liability company) was signed between the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Company JP Kenny Exploration & Production Ltd.
On 16th of May the Agreement on sale of the state shareholding in the amount of 33.8% of the Charter Fund of the JV Poltava Petroleum Company (in the form of the limited liability company) between the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Company JP Kenny Exploration & Production Ltd. was drawn up and notarised. |

On 28th of September the JV PPC commenced drilling of well # 111 on the Ignatovskoye field. The overall depth of the well will total to 2,355 m.
The local contractors were attracted for the drilling of the well, in particular, Novy-Sanjary Deep Drilling Expedition, Poltava Specialised Militarised Unit "SVARCH" etc. as well as the drilling rig provided by the Polish Company "Oil & Gas Exploration Company KRAKOW". In late 2001 the latter won the tender among three other Ukrainian companies and three other foreign ones on provision of a drilling rig for drilling works. |

| The JV PPC obtained the mining allotment permit for the Novo-Nikolayevskoye field (Novy-Sanjary District, Poltava Region). The Act on granting the mining allotment permit was issued by the Labour Protection Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine. The mining allotment permit confirms the title of the JV PPC to production development of the Novo-Nikolayevskoye field. In January 2001 the JV PPC obtained the mining allotment permits for the Ignatovskoye and Molchanovskoye fields. |

The JV PPC commissioned the dew point control unit at EPF. The said unit is the complex highly technological unit designated for removal of the liquid components from the produced gas and increase of its quality.
The projected power capacity of the unit - 1 MM m3 of gas per day. The unit was manufactured and supplied by the Canadian Company "Propak" and mounted by Ukrainian and foreign specialists from the JV PPC. Also the Company commissioned the new automated system on production processes management at EPF. The new management system will allow to safely and efficiently maintain the scheduled technological operational mode of EPF. Mounting and adjustment of the management system was performed by the specialists from Canadian Company "CVS Controls". |

The Development Plan for the Ignatovskoye field (Novy-Sanjary District, Poltava Region) was approved at the meeting of the Central Commission for Field Development with the State Oil and Gas Committee of Ukraine. Therefore, the period of transition to the production development of this field was completed.
The JV PPC obtained the acts on the mining allotment permits granting for the Ignatovskoye and Molchanovskoye fields. The acts on granting the mining allotment permits were issued by the Labour Protection Department of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine. The mining allotment permits confirms the title of the JV PPC to production development of the Ignatovskoye and Molchanovskoye fields. |
