3D Seismic |

In 1998, JV PPC, for the first time in Ukraine, ran a 3D seismic survey over its licences. To date, surveys have been completed for two areas totalling 190 sq. km. Another seismic acquisition has started over the third area of 30 sq. km. Detailed field geology information obtained as a result of the surveys has served as a basis for the field geology simulation modelling which allows optimum placement of new wells. |
Directional and Horizontal Drilling |

JV PPC carries out drilling of sub-horizontal wells as scheduled. Sub-horizontal sections deviation ranges from 880 to 940, the maximum step out is 1016 m and the longest horizontal section is 470 m. These results have been achieved through the use of advanced modern hole making technologies and measuring-while-drilling (MWD) technique. JV PPC was the first Company in Ukraine that widely employed this method. |
Penetrating Pay IntervalsJV PPC employs advanced perforating systems such as Dynamit Nobel, Owen, etc. to penetrate pay horizons and enhance the well deliverability. Pay horizons are perforated underbalance with the use of TIS lubricator. |

Coiled Tubing |

JV PPC has been applying coiled tubing technology in well workover and stimulation jobs which enables to save time and money and increase hydrocarbon flow rates quite significantly. JV PPC was the first in Ukraine to apply this technology in 1997. |
Computer Technologies |

Using KINGDOM-8.3, EXODUS and Geographix up-to-date software packages, JV PPC has implemented the ongoing reservoir stimulation modelling project covering the fields currently being developed by the Company. The Wellflo package provides a sophisticated analysis of the producers' performance and enables to design either gas lift or pumping operation if the flowing to surface ceases. WAVELAN technology ensures communications between the JV PPC Poltava Office and the Production Site (Novo-Sanzhary District), which is 42 km away. This resulted in creation of the territory wide corporate network. |
